Wrap-up Post
Saturday, April 19th, 2008I’m heading on a 6 week trip soon so should have lots more to report. But before I do here are a few pictures from the last year.
I always wanted to see Coney Island so one really nice weekend this past summer I hopped on the N train and rode it to the end. I got a chance to visit the Freakshow (which is a little disappointing) but was happy to realize the real freakshow is on the boardwalk. Just walk around for 10 minutes and you see some pretty crazy stuff.
Getting off the subway - Coney Island awaits!
The subway car is ominous. Glad it wasn’t a dark and rainy night.
And right across the street is the setting for the World’s hotdog eating contest.
Blast from the past. Hopefully people haven’t eaten at Nathan’s yet.
Random weirdness seen from the boardwalk.
The Boardwalk.
I could sit here all day and watch the people.
Moving on to UofM. On the day of the big Ohio State game I am walking through the tailgate area with Bob and his girlfriend. I pointed out to Bob that his jacket is Red & White. Probably not the best idea (and the jeers quickly confirmed this).
Bob and Cynthia after he turned his jacket inside out to hide the colors. About 1 minute ago people had threatened to throw him in the pond.
The biggest football stadium in the country. More than 110,000 people each week and now they are building an addition for next season.
Go Blue!
