Search String

Friday, December 22nd, 2006

I was just reviewing my site statistics. One thing I can check is what terms people were searching for when they c licked onto my site through a search engine (i.e. yahoo, google, etc.).

I would have thought the winners would be something like: china travel, beijing, etc.

Nope.

Ready?

Clean-up Post

Sunday, December 17th, 2006

I was procrastinating today - supposed to be working on my marketing final but that is just about as fun as it sounds so instead I was going through my computer. I came up with a few things I’ve meant to post for some time but just never gotten around to. So here is the wrap-up post for all things China* and a few random tidbits.

When Eric and Oliver came to visit I was checking Eric’s flight status online since he was going to be the first to arrive. Anyway this is what I found:

null
Slight detour from the planned route I guess.

I was trying to descripe the spinning Beijing pancake the other day and realized that Florian had a good picture of it:

null
My favorite Beijing street food.

Just a couple days ago I was chatting with Rebecca on MSN for the first time in months and when I found this today I realized it was perfect.
null
If she had been born an indian (american version)** her name would no doubt be “Rebecca Two-Phones” even though she really used 3.

I also found a bunch of pictures from my last night in Beijing.

null
First we went to the Hakka restaurant at Houhai. With a real Hakka no less.

null
And how could I end my time in Beijing without some posing from the Peru Girls?

null
Nice, I wonder what the resume says.

null
Nina smiles for the camera.

null
And people asked me why I like China…a good way to say goodbye.

null
On the flight home I finally set my Hearts record. If you think this is easy then try it and get back to me.

Let’s finish with a couple of signs:

null
Someone at Microsoft was very creative.

Finally, as mentioned in a prior post I’m going to wrap up my China pictures with my favorite sign. This was at the shopping center right across from where I was living.

null
No big deal you say? Well look closer. For those who can’t see it says “Obstacle free passageway”.

*Until the next trip anyway.
**The south asian version it would probably be something like Rani or Roopa but you should ask Sara who now also has a blog where she talks a lot about plumbing. Check it out at: http://saragoesindia.blogspot.com
